Job Description:
Our client is seeking a strong Senior Workday Analyst to assist Workday HCM project post go live and they are adding 3-4 Countries. This individual will work closely with the workstream leads and vendor implementation partner to revamp business processes to support the project. This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of HR business processes and methodologies along with a strong analytical and reporting background. The candidate will have direct hands on experience in Workday HCM process design, configuration and implementation. They partner with diverse business stakeholders to lead numerous projects to increase business efficiency and automate business processes in Workday. They have excellent collaboration, problem solving and advanced technical skills. They provide technical guidance, are hands on, and respond to end user requests for new features, problem investigation, security configuration and complex reports.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end technical support for Workday HCM, including but not limited to: Core HCM Business Processes (Onboarding, Hire, Termination, Change Job), User Security, Core HCM meta data and organizational set up while exercising functional knowledge to highlight downstream impacts to Time & Absence, Benefits, Payroll and third-party systems
- Ability to step into other functional areas when needed and utilize community to effectively hands on learn new features
- Work closely with the business teams to understand functional requirements and execute them through successful implementation, testing and deployment with required documentation
- Be able to run small to medium scale projects completely independently whilst using sound judgment to escalate issues when necessary
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Assist in resolving User ?How To? questions and create relevant job aids/training/communications aids/learning/communications
- Troubleshoot problems, test, and work with business to resolve issues
- Act as a technical expert and advise stakeholders of best practice solutions for various business needs
- Log, route, and maintain tickets in ticket tracking system; ServiceNow experience a plus
- Configure and administrate data security and comply with policies and procedures
- Design and develop custom reports as required for business users and senior executive management
- Provide guidance and training to business teams on the future capabilities of the Workday and adoption blueprint
- Coordinate feature/function cases with Workday and perform Workday Release tasks (2x per year)
- Act with speed, while balancing quality and compliance
- SIZZLE>> Don’t put too much weight on the titles. Strong, well-rounded over-all knowledge of HCM and associated modules.
- we need someone to attend meetings, assess impact and change, etc. to our new Workday HCM system
- as well as up and downstream impacts. Best Practices, Change Management.. We are expanding globally and therefore, we will need to adjust our
- systems (minimally) to be able to handle a wider global footprint.
- This is Project Arrow and the doing a Global expansion that includes UK, Germany, Canada and The Netherlands which is the big one.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven HR experience working as a technical lead and experienced systems analyst for major projects
- Strong experience with core HR processes and supporting technology platforms
- 6+ years of strong hands-on technical foundation experience with Workday HCM yet primary skill is as a functional analyst
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow or similar cloud application
- 2+ years of Beeline experience a plus
- Technical expertise with application development to assist with the design and specification development desired
- Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
- Experience documenting process and system flowcharts in Visio required
- Experience facilitating, supporting and ensuring traceability with requirements exists during testing phases (SIT, UAT, etc.); experience using testing tools a plus
- Strong ability to collaborate with G&A IT leaders, business leadership, senior technologists, to define business processes, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions and measure delivery results.
- Ability to think analytically, a proactive problem solver.
- Ability to creatively and constructively challenge/influence technical designs to ensure simplicity and supportability.
- Collaborative, agile mindset to drive speedy, creative and efficient use of technology and data to drive business value.
- High degree of business acumen and urgency to act.
- Capable of translating and presenting technical concepts into practical business terms in both small and large group settings.
- Well organized individual who can prioritize tasks and cut through details to identify units of work needed to complete the project
- Excellent communications skills are essential
- A "get-it-done" attitude; ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks quickly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Certifications a plus in cloud technology applications (Workday HCM, AWS, ServiceNOW, etc.)
