Backed by Binny Bansal of Flipkart fame, Opptra is building a portfolio of category-aligned franchising businesses and powering these ventures with a consolidated supply chain and centrally developed technology.Role Description:As the Channel Sales Leader for Fashion and Beauty Business in India you will spearhead the expansion of our presence across Asia’s fast-evolving fashion and beauty marketplaces, DTC and retail chains. Your expertise in global Fashion across Atheliesure, Sportswear , Apparel, Footwear , Accessories & Beauty will be essential in shaping a distinctive brand identity in a vibrant market driven by international trends and local festivities. You will develop strategies to maximize sales, forge strong partnerships, and deliver premium experiences aligned with global and local consumer preferences.Location: BengaluruRoles and Responsibilities:1. Revenue Growth & Channel ExpansionDrive revenue growth by expanding into leading Indian online marketplaces such as Flipkart, Amazon India, Myntra, Nykaa, and others.Strengthen offline retail collaborations with premium department stores, multibrand outlets, and exclusive brand boutiques focusing on international, Beauty and athleisure fashion.Strategically leverage key Indian festivals and consumer moments – such as Diwali, Holi, Eid, Navratri, Dussehra, New Year, and End of Season Sales – to maximize brand visibility and drive sales surges.Conduct SKU-level competitive analysis centered on international fashion trends, pricing sensitivity, and demand for athleisure, premium casual wear, and beauty products.2. Brand & Market DevelopmentIdentify and onboard emerging international brands across apparel, footwear, athleisure, and beauty segments, ensuring alignment with contemporary global fashion trends.Collaborate on launching seasonal collections, limited editions, and new lines timed around global fashion events, sports competitions, and major sales festivals.Enable collection rollouts to coincide with international fashion weeks, sporting seasons, and festival periods, appealing to aspirational consumers.Achieve ambitious revenue, profit, and market share objectives while staying aligned with global brand positioning and local consumer demands.3. Supply Chain & Logistics StrategyPartner with logistics providers to guarantee swift inventory replenishment, especially during peak sale seasons and product launches.Optimize last-mile delivery solutions for quick, reliable fulfillment suited to SEA’s diverse geography, ensuring high customer satisfaction for Footwear, apparel, athleisure, and beauty products.Oversee quality assurance, damages, and reverse logistics, especially for high-value and sensitive items like cosmetics and luxury apparel.4. Marketing & Brand EngagementDesign and execute integrated marketing campaigns that resonate during consumer moments, festive seasons, national holidays, and major sales events.Collaborate with influencers and celebrities to generate buzz, particularly around global fashion trends and athleisure launches.Leverage marketplace advertising and organic search optimization, emphasizing product categories like activewear, designer apparel, footwear, and beauty essentials.Create compelling storytelling centered on international fashion inspirations, upcoming collections, and festival-themed promotions.5. Customer Experience & EngagementPartner with the CX team to craft seamless, premium pre- and post-purchase experiences, emphasizing authenticity, easy returns, and premium services.Utilize localized content, multilingual support, and personalized communication to deepen engagement with aspirational fashion and beauty consumers.Collect insights on customer preferences around global brand and fashion trends, continuously refining the shopping experience.Functional Competencies:Stakeholder & Ecosystem ManagementEstablish and nurture relationships with marketplace teams, brand partners, retail chains, logistics providers, and marketing agencies.Ensure channel strategies reflect current international fashion and beauty trends while aligning with local consumer expectations.Operational Excellence & Customer SuccessImplement systems to monitor inventory levels, order fulfillment, and customer feedback.Achieve and maintain high service standards—timely delivery, quality assurance, and responsive after-sales support.Market & Consumer InsightsStay ahead of global fashion and beauty innovations, athleisure trends, and digital engagement strategies that influence Iocal aspirational consumers.Analyze data to optimize product assortment, promotional campaigns, and channel effectiveness.Leadership & Team BuildingBuild and lead high-performing teams dedicated to marketplace management, digital marketing, supply chain, and brand partnerships.Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and customer-centricity that adapts to changing trends and market demands.Problem Solving & Strategic ThinkingProactively address operational, logistical, or market challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.Identify unique selling points such as international product appeal, collaborations, or festival-led marketing campaigns.Qualifications and Skills Required:10+ years of channel management/brand management leadership experience in Indian e-commerce marketplaces and Brands focusing on premium apparel, athleisure, and beauty brands.Proven success in establishing and scaling distribution channels, particularly for international and domestic athleisure, beauty, and lifestyle brands in the Indian market.Good to have offline retail experience directly with brands or franchises operating in India.Experience closing profitable deals with leading Indian e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms.Demonstrated ability to sizeable large teams and ability to drive execution by being hands on.
