Job Summary:Manager of IT Applications to manage implementation and support of our LOS application. This role involves overseeing the applications, ensuring operational efficiency, optimizing system performance, and aligning IT strategies with business needs also be responsible for managing a team of application and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of critical business systems. Strong functional knowledge of retail business (LAP)Key Responsibilities: Application Management: Oversee Application Portfolio:Manage set of business-critical application, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and operate effectively. Application Life Cycle Management:Manage the full life cycle of applications from initial selection, implementation, upgrades, and enhancements to ongoing support Team Management: Lead Application Support Team:Manage a team of application support specialists, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated and effectively support the applications Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams:Work with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth communication and collaboration in addressing application needs Performance Management:Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for team members, ensuring high standards of performance and end user support Implementation & Support: Lead Implementations:Oversee the implementation of new functionality or major updates, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet business requirements Manage Vendor Relationships:Work closely with third-party vendors to manage service levels, resolve technical issues, and ensure vendor solutions meet organizational needs Provide Technical Support:Address complex technical issues escalated by application support (L1) teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Incident Management:Ensure the timely resolution of any application-related incidents, minimizing downtime and business disruption Root Cause Analysis:Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent them Change Management:Oversee and ensure that all application changes are executed through structured change management processes, minimizing risks. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate New Technologies:Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in application management to recommend improvements and innovations. Process Improvement:Look for opportunities to streamline processes, improve system efficiency, and reduce costs through technology.Experience: 10 Years of experience in IT application managementSkills : Technical Skills: Basic understanding of application architecture, databases (SQL.etc.), and integration points. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong knowledge of IT application management Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and risk management practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
