Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager with a strong understanding of agricultural blades, machines, and the dealer/distributor sales ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for the agricultural machinery sector, driving business growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and expanding market reach across India.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and manage effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Expand dealer and distributor networks across key agricultural markets in India.
- Identify and develop relationships with potential high-value customers and strategic partners.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities.
2. Marketing & Promotion
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns (print, digital, and on-ground) to promote agricultural blades and machinery.
- Organize dealer/distributor meets, exhibitions, and product demonstrations.
- Create and manage pricing strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness.
- Support product branding and positioning in target markets.
3. Product & Market Development
- Suggest and support new product/service offerings based on market demand and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure products meet market requirements.
- Develop promotional materials, product literature, and dealer training content.
4. Distribution & Channel Management
- Optimize distribution channels for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and market coverage.
- Strengthen relationships with existing dealers and distributors while onboarding new ones.
- Ensure effective after-sales service and customer support through dealer networks.
5. People & Training
- Conduct training sessions for dealers, distributors, and sales teams on product features, benefits, and selling techniques.
- Mentor and develop internal sales and marketing personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agricultural Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of Sales & Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment with majority of experience in outside sales, preferably in agricultural machinery and blades.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of agricultural machines, blades, and related markets and familiarity with rural/agri-dealer network dynamics and agricultural marketing trends.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication (Hindi, Marathi, and English preferred).
- Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
