Movius seeks a skilled PostgreSQL developer to design, develop, and maintain databases in our secure hosted environments. This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL that are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.
- Write and maintain code to interact with the PostgreSQL database using programming languages such as SQL, PL/pgSQL, and Python.
- Optimize queries to improve performance and ensure the database is responsive to user requests.
- Maintain and monitor the database to ensure it is functioning properly, available for use, and secure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the database, such as errors, crashes, and performance problems.
- Create and maintain documentation related to the database schema, configuration, and administration.
- Work collaboratively with other developers, database administrators, and stakeholders to ensure the database meets organizational needs.
- Seek out new ways to improve the database, both in terms of functionality and performance.
- Implement high availability and replication strategies using PostgreSQL.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
- At least 7+ years of professional experience in database development.
