Job Title: Senior Compliance OfficerAbout the Role:We are looking for a seasoned Senior Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen the compliance function in our NBFC. The role requires deep expertise in regulatory frameworks governing NBFCs, including RBI guidelines, AML/KYC norms, lending regulations, and other financial regulations.This is a leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities, suitable for someone with significant experience in financial services compliance. Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain the NBFC's compliance framework, policies, and procedures in line with RBI, SEBI, and other regulatory requirements.- Monitor adherence to regulations, internal policies, and NBFC-specific guidelines, including AML/KYC, lending regulations, fair practices, and data privacy.- Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on regulatory changes, emerging risks, and compliance best practices.- Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders, ensuring timely reporting and resolution of observations.- Ensure robust reporting, escalation, and remediation mechanisms for compliance incidents or breaches.Qualifications & Experience:- 10-20 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles within NBFCs, banks, or financial institutions.- In-depth knowledge of RBI regulations for NBFCs, fair practices codes, lending guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.- Proven track record in managing audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance programs.- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to provide strategic advice while implementing practical compliance solutions.- Professional certification such as Company Secretary (CS) or equivalent is required.- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Law, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.Why Join UsThis is a senior leadership role in an NBFC offering the opportunity to shape compliance practices and risk culture.
