Job Title : EDA QA Automation EngineerLocation : BangaloreExperience : 3 to 5 YearsJoining : ImmediateAbout the Role : We are looking for a highly motivated EDA QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines, with scripting knowledge in Perl/Python. A background in EDA/IP automation and validating EDA tool outputs would be a strong advantage.This role involves collaborating closely with development teams to ensure the quality, scalability, and accuracy of EDA tools and flows, enabling high-performance designs in the semiconductor domain.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for EDA software tools and flows.- Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to integrate automated testing into build processes.- Apply deep knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and QA processes.- Write and maintain comprehensive test documentation, coverage reports, and quality metrics.- Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve issues efficiently.- Use Perl and Python scripting to build, execute, and enhance test automation frameworks.- Validate outputs of EDA tools and IP automation flows for accuracy and consistency.- Contribute to continuous improvement in QA practices and automation coverage.Required Qualifications :- 3-5 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer / Test Engineer / QA Lead in software development teams.- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA tools, and processes.- Experience with test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.- Hands-on experience with Perl and Python scripting for automation and test execution.- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Preferred Skills :- Background in EDA/IP automation.- Experience in validating EDA tool outputs and semiconductor workflows.- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).- Knowledge of Linux environments for EDA tool execution.What We Offer :- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge EDA tools in the semiconductor industry.- A collaborative environment with cross-functional engineering teams.- Career growth in QA leadership and automation specialization.- Exposure to next-generation design automation workflows.
