Typhoon HIL is the technology leader in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) real-time simulation for power electronics, microgrids, and renewable energy systems. We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineers to join our expanding Indian team, contributing to innovative model-based engineering solutions and providing technical support to our clients in the power electronics and power systems sectors. If you are a highly motivated and self-driven engineer, willing to tackle tough technical challenges you will be able to grow with the company. Also, you will be able to contribute significantly to both sales and business development efforts.


Responsibilities:

  • Support customer projects from pre-sales to development and commissioning for grid modernization, microgrids, power electronics, and e-Mobility.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain HIL Testbeds and components.
  • Develop models, application notes, and documentation for Controller-Hardware-in-the-Loop (C-HIL) simulation platforms.
  • Create tests and test automation scripts for low and system-level controllers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy HIL applications.
  • Write and review technical papers, application notes, and contribute to Typhoon’s documentation and software libraries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Provide technical support in pre-sales and after-sales phases.
  • Educate and empower customers through training sessions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • HIL Specialist 2.0 specialization certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience in power electronics, control systems, or real-time simulation.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and electrical machines.
  • Hands-on experience with digital controls and embedded systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Typhoon HIL or similar real-time simulation tools.
  • Good command of Python and C programming languages
  • Previous experience in technical support or application engineering roles.
  • •Experience with one or more industrial communication protocols: Modbus, CAN, IEC61850, DNP3, OPC
