Project Overview



Global Mobility (GM) Team supports visas and the immigration process. GM also track all assignments, governs assignment policies, guides travelers on end-to-end assignment life-cycle actions, and supports assignee tax and payroll procedures. GM team helps manage the complexities and compliance risks associated with local tax, immigration, and insurance requirements for assignees globally.



Role



Global Mobility Sr. Associate will be working in the cross-cultural Global Mobility team to support business traveler programs (both short term and long term travelers). S/he will act as the mobility subject matter expert for Global Mobility activities to support the traveler and the traveler experience. S/he will specifically focus on US Assignments and Work visas (L-1 Blankets and L-1 Non-Blankets).



Deliverables



Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting US Visa process for traveler from the region. Also, track and manage global assignments from the region in accordance with Groupe approved policies.

Skills (must have)



  • Expert on US Work Visas, especially L-1 Visas
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience working within the field of US Immigration and international assignments
  • Experience working in similar corporate set-up supporting US Immigration process, and relocation/transferring of employees
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including ability to multitask and balance completion of several competing priorities
  • Solid process and project management skills, particularly the ability to manage multiple work streams involving several team members
  • Attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurately to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, changing environment
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills


Skills (good to have)



  • Expertise on other US Visa categories like H-1B, RFEs, and Canada Work visas
  • Experience with Global Mobility data analysis and reporting
  • Strong compliance orientation and proven expertise in relocation and expatriate tax/payroll management
  • Any relevant certifications in the field of Expatriate management, Global Mobility


Responsibilities



  • Act as a point of contact for travelers to guide, and provide support to apply for US Work visas (L-1 Blanket and L-1 Non-Blanket)
  • Prepare L-1 Blanket petitions in-house and guide employees throughout the visa application process
  • Conducts orientation sessions for employees appearing for US visa interviews
  • Liaison with external counsel and internal stakeholders on US work visa applications
  • Track and maintain data and documentation for visa applications and assignments
  • Act as GM point of contact for supporting all assignments and for travelers from the region before and after the assignment
  • Enhances travelers’ experience through consistent processes and policy treatment. Provides travelers a supportive, positive and seamless end-to-end experience
  • Executes, on a day-to-day basis, assignment & Immigration specific activities to support the traveler
  • Guide other GM team members on US Work visa nuances, as needed
  • Collaborate with other Global Mobility Operations team members to ensure processes are executed and issues resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensures a full understanding of the issue, compliance requirements, and the perspectives of all stakeholder are considered when determining/ recommending resolution
  • Report compliance risks and consequences for non-compliance
  • Should be able to prepare and manage reports
