Designation: Senior Manager - Business Development.
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid).
Reporting to: CEO/Co-Founder.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Senior Manager Business Development to lead outbound growth efforts across India and international markets.
- This role demands a proactive individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
- You will be responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities, primarily in the IT services domain, engaging with CXO-level decision-makers, and closing high-value deals.
- This role directly reports to the CEO and is critical to the companys growth strategy.
- It is a role with high growth potential with the possibility of being elevated to a Partner at Thence after 1.5-2 years, based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the entire outbound sales lifecycle from lead identification and qualification to closure across both domestic and global markets.
- Develop and execute strategies to generate and convert high-quality leads in the IT services space.
- Engage with senior stakeholders (CXOs and VPs) through personalized and value-driven outreach.
- Understand client challenges and position our offerings as tailored solutions through consultative selling.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with prospects to maximize future business opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, pipelines, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and internal teams to refine value propositions and prioritize high-impact markets.
- Represent the company in meetings, presentations, and demos, ensuring every conversation builds credibility and trust.
What Were Looking For?
- 4-8 years of proven experience in outbound B2B sales, with a strong track record in IT services sales (mandatory).
- Demonstrated success in independently handling high-stakes conversations with CXOs and senior executives.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities able to identify opportunities, craft compelling pitches, and close deals with minimal supervision.
- Deep understanding of solution selling and value-based sales methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail capable of managing multiple prospects and priorities efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, startup-like environment with agility and ownership.
