Job: Java Developer - Risk Technology Location:Bangalore, India- Hybrid/Flexible Working Start Date:Ideally ASAP - notice period accepted Full Time Rolling Contract Sector:Financial Services / Investment BankingOverview We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Risk Technology team of a leading investment bank. The role involves building and enhancing systems that support risk management, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for risk management and reporting. Work closely with risk managers, quants, and business analysts to deliver technical solutions to complex risk problems. Enhance existing systems to meet regulatory and business-driven requirements. Ensure code quality, testing, and deployment standards within a controlled environment. Collaborate with global teams to support business-critical risk applications.Key Skills & Experience Strong expertise in Java development (multithreading, collections, performance optimisation). Previous experience working in risk management technology (market risk, credit risk, or counterparty risk). Solid understanding of investment banking products (derivatives, fixed income, equities). Familiarity with databases (SQL/Oracle) and messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) preferred.
