Job Summary:

The Senior Manager - Reporting and Automation role is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) department's daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations. This includes developing and managing AP reporting, focusing on key metrics such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), payment trends, and aging reports while supporting month-end and year-end financial closings. Additionally, the role leads process improvement and automation efforts, leveraging technologies like RPA, OCR, and AI to optimize AP workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve efficiency. Collaboration with IT and other departments is key to implementing automation solutions, with a focus on tracking performance through KPIs.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Develop and manage AP reporting, providing insights into key performance metrics such as DPO (Days Payable Outstanding), payment trends, and aging reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to Accounts Payable and assist in the preparation of the month-end and year-end closing.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with company policies, IndAS, and regulatory requirements.

2. Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Lead automation initiatives to optimize and streamline the Accounts Payable process, leveraging RPA/OCR, AI, or other technologies to reduce manual efforts and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to implement and integrate automation solutions for invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment procedures.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and bottlenecks within the AP function and recommend improvements to processes, workflows, and tools.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to track the effectiveness of automation and process improvements.
