We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer who specializes in RESTful API testing to join our Bangalore-based product team. In this role, you will be a critical contributor to our test infrastructure and CI/CD automation, ensuring our backend systems are robust, secure, and :

- Design and implement automated tests for REST APIs, with a focus on scalability and reusability.

- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java (preferred) or Python.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers to identify test scenarios and integrate tests into CI pipelines.

- Drive the adoption of quality best practices, including contract testing and mocking strategies.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation test coverage.

- (Bonus) Lead or contribute to performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter or K6

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience in test automation, especially focused on backend/API testing.

- Strong proficiency in Java (preferred) or Python.

- Deep understanding of RESTful architecture, HTTP protocols, and API test lifecycle.

- Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and test reporting tools.

- Hands-on experience working in product-based companies or fast-paced startups.

- Ability to write maintainable and modular test code.

- Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG, RestAssured, Pytest, etc.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6).

- Exposure to contract testing frameworks (e. g., Pact) and mock servers.

- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker for test environments.
