Job Description:

As a Technical Lead, you will leverage your expertise in website development, AWS cloud infrastructure, and SendGrid to manage and deploy solutions that drive our business forward. You will lead a team of web developers, oversee project delivery, and ensure high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Mentoring:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  • Development & Deployment:
  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress/PHP-based websites, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
  • Manage and deploy SendGrid for email services, ensuring reliable email delivery and handling any related issues.
  • Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress/PHP websites, AWS cloud infrastructure, and SendGrid email services.
  • Monitor application performance, implement optimizations, and manage ongoing improvements.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the successful execution of projects from conception through to deployment and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in WordPress/PHP development with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including experience with deploying and managing applications on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with SendGrid or similar email delivery services.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress development practices.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and other frameworks.


Leadership Abilities:

  • Proven experience leading and managing a development team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
  • Experience with additional cloud services and tools.
  • Knowledge of modern development practices such as CI/CD, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Kanban/Scrum methodologies.
