Position Summary:

Support the computer and networking systems at Shape Corp. This includes installation, configuration, application software loading and day-to-day support of computers and peripherals. Provide Excellent Customer Support and follow through using our enterprise ticketing system.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


  • Experience with:
  • Operating systems (Windows10/11) and related utilities and tools
  • Solid knowledge of security management, firewall concepts and the ability to maintain a secure environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Global computer systems and application deployments
  • Microsoft Active Directory as it relates to Group Policy and User administration
  • DHCP and DNS and other networking environment
  • Desktop Backup and recovery scenarios
  • Computer hardware and peripherals; ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, ability to replace hardware internals when confronted with equipment failures
  • Computer networks with configuring various network hardware such as Printers computers and other peripherals.
  • Printer setup, printer drivers and ability to perform printer diagnostics for problem diagnostics and resolution
  • Install network and perform cable terminations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with management, developers, vendors and co workers.
  • Experience with maintaining accurate and complete records computerized.


Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor the servers and networking to ensure proper operations.
  • Perform updates to computers as releases are distributed.
  • Evaluate server hardware and system software. Keep abreast of current technology and participate in evaluation and implementation of cost effective business solutions.
  • Handle assigned time on the Help Desk support phone. Make on-site calls for those hardware issues which cannot be resolved on a first-call basis. Respond to Help Desk request with an on-site call, when needed, to replace failed hardware.
  • Train people on the proper use of computer systems and services.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting for network, server, computer and workstation equipment.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
  • Assist in planning for growth and changes (capacity planning).
  • Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
