General Manager Sales

We are hiring for a GM Sales role, for a leading Personal Care product manufacturing company, based in Chandigarh :
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that spans online (D2C, e-commerce platforms) and offline (retail, distributors) channels.
- Lead the export strategy by creating and implementing market entry strategies to grow brand presence globally while ensuring optimal logistics and supply chain support for international markets.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, ensuring targets are met for both direct consumer sales and offline retail partnerships.
- Ensure the brand’s presence is optimized across all channels through effective pricing, promotions, and product placement in close collaboration with channels.
- Build strategic partnerships with retailers, distributors, and e-commerce platforms to expand the brand’s reach.
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing team, Logistics partner and internal teams to enhance supply chain performance, minimize costs, and ensure timely product availability across all sales channels, including exports.
- Ensure proper inventory management across both online and offline channels, aligning supply with market demand to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage diverse teams, ensuring alignment with the overall company strategy.
- Ensure that the sales and supply chain operations support a seamless customer experience, both domestically and internationally.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international trade laws, customs regulations, and supply chain standards.
Technical Competencies:
- Sales Strategy & Management: Expertise in developing and executing sales strategies for both online and offline channels.
- Export Management: Experience in market entry strategies and building relationships with international partners.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Proficiency in managing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Knowledge of procurement best practices and cost management techniques.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Proficiency in drawing insights from the data and KPI tracking for continuous improvement.

- Leadership and People Management: Ability to lead and mentor diverse teams
- Strategic Thinking: Anticipates challenges and opportunities in the market and adapts strategies accordingly.
- Problem Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to analyze complex operational challenges and develop strategic solutions.
- Negotiation: Skilled at negotiating with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to achieve favourable terms and ensure smooth operations.
Experience:
- 15+ years of experience with minimum 6 years in a leadership role overseeing operations, preferably in the retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Proven experience in building and executing sales strategies across both online and offline channels.
- Sound understanding of international trade regulations, export processes, and supply chain management.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and improve operations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing vendor and partner relationships.
- Familiarity with international trade compliance, customs regulations, and documentation requirements.
Education:
Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field is preferred.
