Position: Proposal Writer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution-Based Proposal Writer who can collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Technical Teams to develop persuasive, client-centric proposals. The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills, an ability to understand complex IT/Business solutions, and experience in responding to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and SOWs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales, Solution Architects, and SMEs to analyze client requirements and craft customized solution-oriented proposals.
  • Develop high-quality, client-tailored responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, SOWs, and capability statements.
  • Translate technical solutions into clear, value-driven business language.
  • Structure proposals to highlight value proposition, differentiators, and ROI.
  • Maintain and update a proposal content repository for faster turnaround.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and deadline-driven.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Delivery, Operations, Finance) for inputs on pricing, solution feasibility, and timelines.
  • Create executive summaries, case studies, and success stories to strengthen proposals.
  • Adhere to branding guidelines, style consistency, and quality standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in proposal writing, bid management, or presales documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of IT services, Cloud, Data, AI/ML, and Digital Transformation solutions.
  • Excellent written communication, storytelling, and structuring skills.
  • Ability to simplify technical content into client-focused messaging.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with proposal automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for quality, accuracy, and compliance.


Good to Have

  • APMP Certification or similar in Proposal Management.
  • Experience in US/Global IT Services market.
  • Understanding of Govt./Enterprise RFP process.
