Description:About the RoleThe Analyst will contribute to consulting projects in the power and utilities sector, supporting assignments related to regulatory filings, tariff modeling, PPA analysis, and policy research. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in understanding how regulatory and commercial frameworks impact the energy business.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of tariff petitions (MYT filings), regulatory submissions, and supporting documentation.- Conduct research and analysis on electricity regulations, policy updates, and amendments issued by CERC, SERC, CEA, and MoP.- Support financial modeling, tariff computation, and cost analysis for generation and distribution utilities.- Contribute to bid process management activities and documentation for power procurement.- Develop Excel-based models and PowerPoint presentations summarizing project findings and recommendations.- Support senior team members in client interactions, data collection, and internal discussions.- Assist in drafting project reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders.Required Skills:- Sound understanding of Indias electricity regulatory framework.- Proficiency in MS Excel (financial/tariff modeling) and MS PowerPoint (presentations).- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication.- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in fast-paced consulting environments.Education and Experience:- Bachelors/Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Energy Studies.- 1-3 years of experience in policy, regulatory, or energy consulting preferred.
