Position Summary:

Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for the position of Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer Science Engineering. This role is designed for professionals with significant industry experience who can bring practical knowledge and insights to enrich our academic programs and bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver industry-relevant teaching and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Design and update curricula incorporating current industry trends and technologies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to facilitate internships, live projects, and workshops.
  • Provide expert guidance on practical problem-solving, technology implementation, and innovation.
  • Participate in university initiatives to enhance employability and skill development.
  • Engage in consultancy, professional development programs, and collaborative projects with industry.
  • Contribute to the department's academic and professional growth through seminars and guest lectures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline; a PhD is mandatory.
  • Significant industry experience in Computer Science Engineering or relevant technology fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software development, systems engineering, data science, cybersecurity, AI/ML, or other relevant domains.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey practical knowledge.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with academia and industry stakeholders.
