Job Title: Data Architect(AWS) Location: Bengaluru Experience Required: 10-14 years Notice Period Preference: Immediate to Short Notice About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with extensive experience in AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and data governance tools like Collibra, Data catalog or Atacamma. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data architectures, ensuring compliance with data governance frameworks, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture & Engineering Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures on AWS using services like S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, and EMR. Architect data warehousing and data lake solutions using Snowflake to support analytical and operational workloads. Optimize ETL/ELT processes and workflows using Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, or Java) and AWS Glue. Define and implement data modeling best practices to support various business and analytical use cases. Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to provide robust data solutions. Data Governance & Compliance Implement data governance frameworks using tools like Collibra or Catalog to enforce metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging. Establish data quality and data security standards, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Define data stewardship policies and ensure consistent application across enterprise data assets. Performance Optimization & Best Practices Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Define best practices for data ingestion, storage, and processing to ensure high availability and disaster recovery. Drive automation and CI/CD practices for data pipelines and infrastructure deployment. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10-14 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles. Hands-on expertise in AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, IAM, KMS). Strong experience in Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, Snowflake Security & Access Control). Proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, or Java) for data processing and transformation. Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra or Catalog, including metadata management and data lineage tracking. Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and modern data lake architectures. Strong background in big data platforms and real-time data processing frameworks. Experience in data security practices and cloud cost optimization. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in AWS (AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Snowflake (SnowPro Certification). Prior experience in data mesh, data fabric, or microservices-based data architectures. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
