About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal database performance, availability, security, and scalability to support our mission-critical Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.

- Monitor database performance and proactively optimize queries, indexes, and schema design.

- Implement robust backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

- Ensure database security, user management, and compliance with data governance policies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and replication errors.

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for schema design, query optimization, and deployment.

- Perform capacity planning, storage management, and database scaling for high-traffic systems.

- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and tools.

- Maintain proper documentation, procedures, and runbooks for database Skills & Qualifications :

- 46 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.

- Hands-on expertise with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

- Experience with replication, clustering, sharding, and partitioning techniques.

- Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, pgBackRest, Percona, MongoDB Ops/Atlas tools).

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.

- Understanding of cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and collaboration to Have :

- Experience with NoSQL and hybrid database environments.

- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform).

- Exposure to data migration, ETL processes, and analytics platforms.
