What we will be doing:

The Operation Lead must have an expertise in implementing SRE practices, automation initiatives, & ensuring our applications meet strict SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and play a key role in managing our critical applications.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Implement SRE principles and methodologies to ensure reliable, scalable, and highly available applications.
  • Champion automation across the IT operations landscape to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Foster a culture of DevOps and implement the DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics to measure software delivery performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies to manage technical debt and keep applications maintainable.
  • Oversee application decommissioning processes to ensure smooth retirement of old systems.
  • Staying up to date on emerging technologies, particularly AI (Artificial Intelligence), and explore its potential to optimize IT operations.
  • Plan and implement strategies for smooth Application operations for a large portfolio bringing together diverse teams across value streams and capabilities (200+ FTEs). Ensure the applications meet defined business priorities.
  • Ensure operations are independently supported from offshore including planning, enabling and implementing strategies across all groups. Develop new or strengthen existing controls for the same.
  • Establish and mature IM processes from offshore and continuously improve.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ITIL processes, review and update any process changes to Devops teams on regular basis
  • Work on eliminating instability, addressing root cause for failures and implement key strategies to improve applications.
  • Champion automation across the IT operations landscape to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Improve overall knowledge management.
  • Develop and execute strategies to manage technical debt and keep applications maintainable.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain security and compliance.
  • Track and report on SLAs, other key business and IT operational metrics & ongoing improvements based on strategies deployed.
  • Bring ideas proactively and invoke wider ecosystem to optimize IT resources to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure clear communication for different operational aspects and ensure necessary highlights & escalations both internally and to customer stakeholders.
  • Oversee application decommissioning processes to ensure smooth retirement of old systems & input into cloud/platform migration strategies.


Work Experience:

Relevant 6yrs.-15yrs. of experience in SRE practices, automation initiatives, managing critical applications along with implementation of DORA.

Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh (location of posting is subject to business requirements).
