Position Title : Department Head - Process Engineering

Location: Vilayat, Bharuch, Gujarat

Qualification : B.E/ B. Tech Chemical

Experience : 12 to 16 Years


Job Description:


Planning and project execution/ Technical drawing interpretation:

  • Taking care of Management of Change (MOC) – Reviewing, Designing & Implementation
  • Driving Site Capex of CAP & VAP – Designing, technical discussion with the parties/suppliers, facilitating engineering team in implementation.
  • Technical Support for all CAP & VAP plants to achieve productivity & quality targets
  • Ensure energy audits are conducted by external parties & managing it’s implementation at site.
  • Identifying innovative schemes for manufacturing excellence in the area of Productivity/Quality/Cost/Delivery/Safety & Moral (PQCDSM)


Planning, Budgeting, Cost Control & Synergies:

  • To study and prepare the P&B scheme of the plant and timely implementation of various CAPEX schemes through co-Support and prepare annual budget with FH Process Engineering in alignment with various customer needs considering EVA targets
  • Achieve budgeted norms of engineering i.e. power consumption, Enforce Standard Operating Procedures
  • Identify potential cost saving areas and implement improvement plans
  • Maintain technical synergy amongst various Group units
  • Make optimum utilization of Group resources


People Development:

  • Maintain a congenial work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth & motivation levels of employees to institutionalize best organizing practices in the Unit
  • Set performance targets & KRAs and conduct performance assessment, training need identification of team members and communicate role clarity to each one
  • Maintain discipline and grievance handling of the team
  • Inculcate in team the group values/policies/ vision/ mission & objectives
  • Motivate employees for stretch targets through team building and two-way communication
  • Take lead for multi skilling by deploying man power for task-oriented jobs


System Management (Safety, Sustainability & ISO):

  • Direct and monitor to ensure adherence of statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability. Ensure implementation of systems like IMS, WCM procedures and ISO
  • Ensure implementation of periodic sustainability audits as directed by Sustainability Cell
  • Ensure accident free operations/ Maintenance and ensure compliance of all safety requirements as stipulated by the Factories Act & environment related statutory requirements
  • Identify best safety practices and train the people to adopt the practices
  • Percolate safety awareness in the department by interaction
  • Ensure all team members are aware of the Factories Act requirements
