Job Summary:

- We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Manager of US Accounting to oversee our financial operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

- This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance in alignment with US GAAP.

- The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

- Perform detailed analysis of financial performance, identifying trends and key insights to support executive decision-making.

- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of pro forma financial models to guide business planning.

Accounting Policies and Compliance:

- Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, adapting practices to align with policy changes.

Maintain and improve internal controls:

- Audit and Internal Controls.

- Lead and coordinate the annual external audit, collaborating with auditors and ensuring timely completion.

- Conduct internal audits to verify financial accuracy, mitigate risks, and ensure data integrity.

- Address and resolve audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Team Leadership:

- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, setting goals and performance expectations.

- Promote a collaborative environment and foster team development through training and skill-building initiatives.

Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing cash reserves.

- Establish and maintain strong banking relationships and ensure effective treasury operations.

Financial Planning and Strategic Support:

- Work with finance and executive teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Systems and Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function, emphasizing automation and scalability.

- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting software and other financial tools.

Qualifications:.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting and compliance.

- Experience with external audits and internal audit functions.

- Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.

- Excellent leadership skills with a history of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g , QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel, Google sheets skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- High attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
