Location: Fully Remote (Work from India)

Working Hours (Full Night Shift only): 9:30 pm to 6 am (IST) & 10:30 pm to 7 am(IST) during winters. No flexible shifts.


Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with Canadian or U.S. accounting firms.


Compensation: The salary for this role is up to ₹40,000 per month. For exceptionally well-qualified candidates, a range of ₹40,000 to ₹45,000 may be considered based on overall experience and interview performance.


Remote candidates from India are only encouraged to apply.

First Preference will be given to candidates from Canadian Accounting & US Accounting Firm working in public practice only.


Position Overview:


Accounting Bridge, a leading accounting software firm based in British Columbia, Canada, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join our team. This role involves working directly with foreign clients and gaining extensive experience in Canadian accounting practices. 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team remotely from India. The ideal candidate will independently manage bookkeeping and accounting tasks with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering accurate results. This is a dedicated night-shift role with no flexibility in working hours.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Accurately maintain financial records using QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately.
  • Financial Reporting: Compile working paper packages for financial statements.
  • Payroll Management: Handle payroll processing, employee onboarding, and terminations.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details.
  • Data Integrity: Perform data entry and ensure high levels of accuracy.


Preferred Tools & Software Proficiency:

  • QuickBooks Online is mandatory.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Xero and any online cloud accounting software will be an added advantage and Microsoft Office Suite.


Educational Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related fields will also be considered.


Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the Canadian and American accent is essential for this position.


Preferred Candidates:

  • From Canadian Accounting & US Accounting Firm working in public practice.
  • Foreign-trained accountants based in India.
  • Indian accountants with relevant experience in Canadian accounting and public practice.


Other Requirements:

  • Reliable internet connection, laptop, and a suitable home office environment.
  • Willingness to work a complete night shift from 9:30 pm to 6 am (IST) & 10:30 pm to 7 am(IST) during winters.
