Job Title:SRE Lead Experience Level:~10 years Role Type:Engineering / ReliabilityRole Overview: The SRE Lead is responsible for leading site reliability initiatives across assigned product or platform areas, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and performant. This role defines and manages reliability goals, drives operational excellence, and partners closely with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to build and sustain highly available services.Key Responsibilities: LeadSRE practicesand initiatives across specific product or platform areas. Define and manageSLOs, SLIs, and error budgetsto maintain system reliability targets. Implement and enhanceinstrumentation, monitoring, alerting , andautomationframeworks. Collaborate withdevelopment, QA, and infrastructure teamsto embed reliability and performance in design. Participate inincident response , performroot cause analysis , and drivecontinuous improvementactions. Guide and mentorSRE engineersin best practices, operational excellence, and incident handling. Contribute to buildingobservability platformsandoperational dashboardsfor proactive detection. Drive initiatives aroundcapacity planning ,scalability , andperformance optimization . Promote ablameless cultureand foster learning from post-incident reviews.Required Qualifications & Experience: 10+ yearsof experience insite reliability engineering ,operations , orproduction supportroles. Strong experience withmonitoring and observability tools(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK). Solid understanding ofdistributed systems ,scaling patterns , andperformance tuning . Hands-on experience withcloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) ,Kubernetes ,CI/CD , andautomation tools . Expertise inincident management ,postmortems , andresilience engineering . Strongmentoring ,communication , andcross-team collaborationskills.Desirable Skills: Familiarity withinfrastructure-as-code(Terraform, Ansible) andservice meshframeworks. Experience inchaos engineering ,DR planning , andcost optimizationfor reliability. Understanding ofDevOpsprinciples andAIOpsconcepts. Certification incloud architectureorSRE practices(e.g., Google SRE, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer).
