TaxCPC - Operations Manager - Tax Compliance & Development Coordination

Description:Role Overview.The Manager Tax Compliance & Business Operations will be responsible for overseeing daily BAU activities, ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance, monitoring operational activities, coordinating cross-functional tasks, and supporting software development processes including Scrum meetings.The role requires strong organizational skills, analytical capability, and the ability to report key insights directly to the CEO.Key Responsibilities:Tax Management & Compliance:- Ensure timely filing of all tax returns including GST, TDS, and income tax.- Maintain accurate tax records, reconciliations, and documentation.- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.- Coordinate with auditors and finance team for tax assessments.BAU (Business As Usual) Operations:- Manage day-to-day operational activities across departments.- Track and ensure timely completion of routine tasks and reporting cycles.- Maintain dashboards for activity monitoring and performance metrics.Activity Monitoring & Reporting:- Daily monitoring of operational tasks and escalation management.- Conduct and document morning briefings, weekly monitoring meetings, and follow-ups.- Prepare concise weekly/monthly reports for CEO review.Cross-Functional Coordination:- Ensure smooth communication across Finance, Operations, Technology, and HR teams.- Update and track cross-functional activity progress and dependencies.- Assist in implementing process improvements across departments.Software Development Coordination:- Work with internal/outsourced development teams for project tracking.- Monitor development and deployment stages of software systems.- Coordinate and participate in Scrum meetings, providing operational inputs.- Track progress, highlight delays, and follow up on action items.TDS & Regulatory Compliance:- Oversee monthly TDS deductions, deposits, and return filings.- Ensure vendor compliance with TDS provisions.- Maintain accurate statutory registers.Skills & Competencies Required:- Strong understanding of TDS, GST, and Tax Compliance.- Experience in operations management or business coordination.- Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile processes (preferred).- Ability to multitask and manage cross-functional teams.- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.- Excellent communication and meeting-coordination ability.- Proficiency in Excel, task-tracking tools (Jira/Trello), and ERP systems.Educational Qualification:- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.- MBA or certifications in taxation/operations/Scrum would be an advantage.
