Manager - Marketplace Operations

- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketplace Operations Manager to lead and optimize our e-commerce operations across various marketplace platforms.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketplace management, cross-functional collaboration, and driving revenue growth while ensuring compliance with marketplace policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to maximize sales and growth on marketplace platforms, including identifying target markets, setting growth objectives, and analyzing competition.
- Align inventory, pricing, and marketing strategies to achieve sales goals.
Inventory and Pricing Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across platforms to ensure stock availability.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to address stock gaps and implement effective pricing strategies.
Relationship Management (Marketplace & Clients):
- Build and nurture strong relationships with marketplace account managers and key clients.
- Negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and explore opportunities for preferred placement and promotional activities.
- Schedule regular client meetings to gather feedback and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including Key Account Management, Supply Chain, Advertisement, and Finance, to align marketplace operations with overall business goals.
Revenue and Profitability Optimization:
- Continuously monitor sales, profitability, and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet revenue targets and optimize marketplace performance.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team.
- Set clear performance goals, provide constructive feedback, and foster a results-driven and collaborative work environment.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
- Stay updated on marketplace policies and ensure compliance with all terms of service, listing rules, and advertising guidelines to avoid penalties or account suspensions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize performance metrics across teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in e-commerce tools and platforms, inventory management systems, and CRM software.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in performance metrics tracking and optimization.
Core Competencies:
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans for marketplace growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with marketplace policies and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, and similar platforms.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth and profitability optimization in an e-commerce environment
