Job Description


As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and to work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly. Also supporting and administrating our in-house Linux infrastructure and providing premium support for our next-generation cloud infrastructure. You must be able to work on containerization in multi-cloud platforms and adapt to DevOps tools and technologies with a focus on automation using CI/CD Concepts. You must be able to work in and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment. You must have strong communication, collaboration, and technical skills.

Notice Period: 0-15 Days or immediate joiners are also highly preferred

Mode of Hire: Permanent (Work from Office)


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Intermediate level of Knowledge/Responsibility Redhat/Centos 
  • Expert-level knowledge of UNIX/Linux. 
  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments 
  • Troubleshooting, Installation, maintenance, and tuning of Linux / Unix OS. 
  • Troubleshoot issues with Apache Tomcat 
  • Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Web Services/HTTP, tomcat, Nginx, HA proxy, Keep a lived
  • Design and implement highly available and scalable systems, ensuring the reliability and performance of the infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide technical support for Linux, Windows Server, and Active Directory systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Red Hat Linux, Docker containers, and Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Manage system administration tasks such as patching, backups, and security updates.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications on production servers.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using various tools like Nagios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for critical systems.
  • Cloud Infrastructure configurations and provisioning.
  • Design and implement the architecture of the next generation of automated infrastructure following the Infrastructure as a Code model.
  • Build and maintain cloud-native CI/CD pipelines with shared libraries.
  • Responsible for building the system's observability, availability, and reliability.
  • Implementation of an observability stack for the cloud infrastructure, proactive monitoring, alert management, and security control.
  • Ability to collaborate across multi-functional teams.
  • Roll out best-in-class DevOps processes in the program.
  • Incident post-mortems and fixes.
  • Mentor the junior engineers and define the technical culture.


Requirements:


  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux support (Red Hat Linux) and familiarity with Docker containerization.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory services.
  • Proficiency in system administration tasks including patch management, backup strategies, and security best practices.
  • Strong experience in any of the Cloud platforms i.e., GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and container orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm etc.
  • Knowledge on any one of the programming/scripting- Python, Shell, Go, Ruby or Java.
  • Deep working knowledge on networking and Linux servers.
  • Understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
  • Experienced with large-scale cloud native platform rollout with a very good understanding of NFRs of the infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Native container management and necessary routing and proxy configurations.
  • Experience in managing distributed systems like Kafka/Redis/Cassandra etc.
  • Well-versed with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Harness CI, Jenkins etc.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging solutions like Splunk, ELK, Prometheus
  • Always ready to learn more and adopt new cutting edge technology with the right value proposition.
  • Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.
