We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Management team at Wealth Investments. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

- As part of our Global Data Team, the successful candidate will play a leading role in the transformation of our data capabilities globally across Investments (Advisory and OCIO)

Head of Data shall operate across the spectrum of Investments covering Advisory and OCIO

- Optimized data sourcing aligned to business value

- Efficient production of core data sets

- Agile experimental data capability

- Working across verticals of Investments, performance reporting and client data

We will count on you to:

- Structuring data pipeline for investment Advisory (Consulting) and OCIO business

- Streamlining of client data, market data and liaising with Business and GSD performance reporting leads

- Bringing and execution of best data practices for Advisory / Consulting

- Production, accessibility and quality optimization of data

- Interpret and explain complex data to Data specialists so as to carry everybody along and for purposes of clarity/verification for the daily data entering Data Warehouse and its distribution.

- Design & Plan comprehensive set of processes as possible in order that data problems are not being found at month end when performance reports are being run

- Stakeholder update on data requirements, implementation of approach for identifying and addressing data related challenges and improvements.

- Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)

- Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses by connecting with the IT team.

- Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.

- Mentoring & coaching a team of Data specialists in their professional career in Investment Data Management space.

What you need to have:

- 12+ years of relevant experience in Information Systems Management, or a related discipline with a focus on domain i.e. Investment Banking/Asset Management (Middle Office/Back office).

- Familiarity with designing data models and defining data architecture schema for Investment Banking or Asset Management purposes.

- Proficiency in data processing and working with data warehouse/big data environments relevant to Investment Banking or Asset Management.

- Excellent skillset in Reference Database Management System (RDBMS) to ingest, maintain and distribute data for Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives and other Asset Classes.

- Proven experience in articulating business requirement and creating relevant artifacts such BRD, FRD & Technical specification document.

- Proficiency identifying process flow mapping and process redesigning specifically for Investment Banking or Asset Management data.

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira Kanban and Confluence or similar tool is plus.

- Familiarity with ETL tools for efficiently and accurately importing new data from various external/internal sources, as well as data sourcing and data mapping specifically to Investment data.

- Experience in business process improvement, including conducting data investigations to determine the root cause of data issues.

- Good analytical and technical abilities as the role would involve ability to spot anomalies and create processes to put control on them.

- Good communication skills to ensure issues clearly identified and explained to various interested stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and global teams to ensure goals are met.

What makes you stand out?

- Knowledge and experience gained in implementing financial data solutions in particular Eagle and FactSet.

- Industry qualifications - CFA or CIPM.

- Willingness to support and mentor colleagues.

- Understanding of Data Management routines & procedures.

- Understanding of the financial services industry, specifically Investment Accounting.

- Understanding of the software product management lifecycle and/or investment performance measurement and analysis.

- Experience of business process improvement in asset management - for example, performing data investigations to determine root cause of data quality issues.

- Expertise and demonstrated experience of Eagle Pace or similar applications.

- Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of relational models are highly beneficial.
