Headquartered in Kolkata, Beekay Steel operates modern manufacturing facilities across Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, and Cuttack, and exports to more than 15 countries worldwide.Role Overview:The Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts will oversee financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, manage audits and taxation, and support strategic financial planning. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical acumen and leadership capabilities to streamline processes and support business growth.Key Responsibilities (KRAs)- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.- Prepare and analyze financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow statements.- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to ensure financial efficiency.- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.- Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax matters.- Liaise with internal and statutory auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits.- Monitor working capital, fund flow, and bank reconciliations to maintain financial health.- Support management in financial planning, strategy formulation, and performance tracking.- Evaluate financial risks and recommend process improvements for better control and efficiency.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment of financial objectives with business goals.Required Skillsets:- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and reporting standards.- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization.- Sound understanding of taxation laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements.- Hands-on experience in audit management and financial closure processes.- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (SAP / Tally preferred).- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.- Leadership capability to manage teams and drive financial discipline.- Prior experience in the steel or manufacturing industry preferred.
