Regional Credit Manager

The Regional Credit Manager is a critical role managing Area Credit Managers and Credit Managers at the location. The incumbent will lead the Credit underwriting and Portfolio quality management for the region and will be responsible for all Underwriting decisions, approvals, deviations and exception management at the location
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
Work with the Chief Credit Officer in planning Credit Underwriting vision along with creating credit and underwriting policies & processes
Partner with location business head to develop a growth strategy for the company with emphasis on maintaining a healthy portfolio and minimal stress accounts/NPAs
Maintaining Credit Quality
Managing respective vendors for maintaining quality and TAT for all verification and validation
Monitoring and doing consistent sample checks on verification and vendor processes
Meeting the loan borrowers and applicants for personal interaction based on the risk profile of cases.
Preliminary screening of borrowers profiles for maintaining the input quality of credit system.
First level document check for fraud prevention, data correction and information completeness.
Implementation of risk management tools, Initiate processes Improvement, Automation and Impart training
Adherence to credit decisioning parameters as per Credit Policy on loan proposals
Initiate new product and policy amendments based on local market experience.
Initiate and Implement automation, process improvements for better customer experience thereby maintaining the organizations risk appetite.
Structured training to be imparted for both internal teams as well as business associates on a regular basis.
Relationship Management, Customer Service and Team Management
Manage end to end credit approval process within agreed turnaround times (TATs) and be responsible for all underwriting decision, approvals, deviations and exceptions for the location
Collaborate with recoveries and analytics teams in order to generate business insights to improve the credit appraisal process
Identify and mitigate risk through regular portfolio monitoring and take timely decisions on exposure levels, collateral etc
Effectively manage the location credit team and guide team members to take credit risk decisions aligned with the company's risk appetite
Ensure the provision of ongoing training and that all employees are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles
Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant credit policies and procedures at the location
Identify, analyze and propose mitigation measures for various risks applicable to the credit function at the location
Skills:
Extensive Knowledge of retail loans preferably LAP or PL products
Hands on experience of Credit buying, Field credit processes, People management skills.
Excellent communications abilities in English and any regional language
Servicing ability in terms of processing TAT (Turnaround Time) and relationship management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, Team player and Motivator.
Qualifications and Experience:
CA, CFA or MBA Finance
15-18 years of related work experience in the financial services sector

Monday to Friday - 9.30 am to 6.00 pm; Alternate Saturday - 9.30 am to 2.00 pm
