Role Overview :

As a DevOps Engineer (Level 1), you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of our microservices, cloud infrastructure, and data operations. Your work will be integral in supporting both our current operations and our future innovations, including integrating machine learning models and handling large-scale distributed data systems.

Key Responsibilities :


Data & Infrastructure Management


- Manage and optimize distributed data across Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Redis.


- Handle cluster management, log management on GCP/Azure, and set up alert monitoring using tools like

Slack and Grafana.


Microservices & Kubernetes Orchestration :


- Oversee the lifecycle of 60+ microservices hosted on Kubernetes (Azure).


- Manage Pods, auto-scaling, ingress controllers, app routing, logging, alerting, and KEDA autoscaler.


CI/CD Pipelines & Deployment :


- Manage GitLab CI pipelines integrated with ArgoCD, Kustomize, and ConfigMap for blue-green and canary deployments.


- Continuously improve deployment processes for high availability and efficiency.


Agent & Helm Chart Management :


- Handle agent installations using Helm charts and ensure smooth operations across services.


- Monitoring & Observability


- Implement and manage APM tools, monitoring, and alerting using Kubernetes agents, New Relic, Grafana, and EFK stack.


Cloud Infrastructure :


- Manage infrastructure on GCP/Azure, including VM provisioning, networking, storage (e.g., buckets and versioning), and cost optimization strategies.


- Ensure TB-scale data storage is optimized for performance and cost.


Continuous Learning & Innovation :


- Quickly adopt new technologies, such as ML Flow, ML deployments, LLM integrations, and perform Proof of Concepts (POCs).


Security & Scalability :


- Work closely with the engineering team to advocate for security best practices, scalable architecture, and platform Skills & Qualifications :


- 2-4 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles.


- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and managing large-scale data infrastructure.


- Strong expertise in Kubernetes (Azure) for managing microservices, Pods, auto-scaling, ingress controllers, and routing.


- Experience with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Kustomize, and ConfigMap for managing deployments (blue-green, canary).


- Proficiency in Helm charts for agent management.


- Familiarity with APM tools, Grafana, EFK, and New Relic for monitoring and alerting.


- Knowledge of cloud services like GCP or Azure, VM management, networking, storage, and cost optimization.


- Ability to quickly learn and integrate new technologies such as ML Flow, ML Deployments, and LLM.


- Strong focus on security, scalability, and platform reliability.
