Job Purpose :

As part of the Data and Technology Services practice, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing relational database systems for major global financial services clients, leveraging AWS cloud services to support scalable, secure, and high-performance data environments within Acuitys Center of Excellence framework.

Global technology megatrends, regulatory developments, competitive landscape and rise of alternative data are changing the way capital markets operate.

At the Data and Technology services operations, we partner with some of the largest financial services firms and corporations in this transformative journey.

We are looking for professionals who are hands on, passionate about the work and have the ambition to drive disruptive changes to global business Skills And Experience :


- Tech \ MCA in Computer Science from reputed College\University.


- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database Specialty, Solutions Architect Associate).

- Experience in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and AWS cloud services.

- Solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, administer, monitor, optimize and maintain PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments in both on-prem and AWS environments.

- Design and implement database solutions that support master data initiatives, including data modeling, cleansing, and governance.

- Deploy and manage databases on AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, and EC2.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for database provisioning, backup, monitoring, and patching using programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability.

- Build tools and utilities to support data migration, transformation, and validation.

- Manage database security, user roles, and access controls.

- Perform query tuning and indexing to improve performance of data-intensive applications.

- Support reporting and analytics teams with efficient data extraction and transformation logic.

- Implement and manage high availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies.

- Ensure data security, compliance, and access control using AWS-native tools and best practices.

- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident Qualifications :


4+ years of experience as a DBA with hands-on expertise in :


- PostgreSQL (including extensions like PostGIS, pg_partman).

- Microsoft SQL Server (including SSMS, SSIS, and T-SQL).

- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.

Solid experience with AWS services such as :

- Amazon RDS / Aurora.

- AWS Backup.

- CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager.

- Programming knowledge in Python, Shell scripting, or equivalent.

- Experience working with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools.

- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving Competencies :

- Efficiently lead client calls on a daily basis.

- Be proactive and independent, able to work on projects with minimum inputs from senior stakeholders.

- Evaluate and ensure quality of deliverables within defined timelines.

- Experience of working in financial domain is preferred.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
