Specialist - SEO

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven SEO Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Pune.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully planning, implementing, and optimizing SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions.

You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive keyword research, performing technical SEO audits, optimizing on-page and off-page elements, and analyzing performance data to refine strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business objectives and target audience needs.

- Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-value keywords and opportunities, utilizing tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.

- Technical SEO:

- Perform regular technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexability, site speed, mobile-friendliness, broken links, redirects, schema markup, etc.) and provide actionable recommendations.

- Work closely with development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented during website development and redesigns.

- Monitor and troubleshoot Google Search Console for any indexing or crawling issues.

On-Page Optimization:

- Optimize website content, meta descriptions, title tags, header tags, image alt attributes, and internal linking structures.

- Ensure content is optimized for both search engines and user experience.

Off-Page SEO/Link Building:

- Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative and relevant websites.

- Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links.

- Content Collaboration: Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure content is SEO-friendly, relevant, and engaging, supporting content strategy and calendar.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other third-party SEO platforms.

- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.

- Present clear and concise reports on key SEO metrics to stakeholders.

- Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify their SEO strategies, strengths, and weaknesses, and adapt our strategies accordingly.

- Algorithm Updates: Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates (e.g., Google's core updates, E-A-T guidelines), and industry best practices, and adjust strategies proactively.

- Local SEO (if applicable): Manage and optimize Google My Business listings and other local directories.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SEO, with a proven track record of improving organic search rankings and traffic.

- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of technical SEO concepts, including crawl budget, site architecture, structured data, core web vitals, and mobile SEO.

- Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using various SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO, etc.)

- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.

- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Understanding of Web Technologies: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, particularly how they impact SEO.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with specific CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Magento).

- Certifications in Google Analytics or other SEO platforms.

- Experience with international SEO or e-commerce SEO.

- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and their impact on SEO
