Purpose of Job: (By Product: HCL / Solvents )

Build business through recognizing prospects and selling to them and maintain relationships with the existing as well as new clients. Secure continuous improvement in Sales & Systems through database and alike.

Responsibilities:

Execute Sales Plan:

Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.

Forecast and track sales trends, analyzing collected data.

Implement Sales / Key Accounts Plan.

Perform Sales Calls for products and perform pre-sales activities.

Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.

Confer with customers to assess product needs and to determine requirements.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products to customers and prospective customers.

Provide information to Sales support for developing sales contracts.

Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.

Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs.

Be accountable for given targets and ensure its achievement.

Implement sales plans to introduce offers in new markets.

Perform and Process Sales Order activities:

Identify customer needs and record the same for necessary course of action.

Negotiate terms and conditions for contracting with customer.

Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions

Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.

Undertake legal assessment of a contract with Customer.

Lead and secure RFQ and RFP for bidding processes.

Communicate to the proposal development Personnel for initiating the activities related to proposal submission processes with ready database of Costing / Estimation and speedy submission of bids.

Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.

Coordinate with associated departments or sections for appropriation of data and speedy submission of proposals.

Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules or other information pertaining to purchased products.

Ensure that delivery schedules meet project deadlines.

Process back orders and updates.

Handle order inquiries including post-order fulfillment transactions.

Followup for outstandings with Customers and ensure delivery of payments for the services offered, without affecting Customer relations.

Operational Effectiveness:

Manage daily activities of the operational sales support function.

Oversee workflow of all business processes including preparation of reports, charts, and other statistics to support and direct the sales department.

Initiate and track orders to completion.

Assist with budget management to ensure expenses meet target goals.

Book and process works order in ORACLE based on techno commercial conditions of purchase order.

Coordinate with concerned Functionaries (planning, logistics, finance, etc.) for smooth processing of order, maintaining delivery schedule & carry out effective dispatch.

Prepare invoicing plan as per Sales Order and coordinate with Finance & Accounts.

Incharge of collections, drumming and logistics.

Act as the Nerve center - single point of contact for entire sales & marketing team.

Prepare, administer and coordinate customer and dealer quotations, proposals, bids, orders, contracts and specifications in an efficient manner.

Maintain details of the order on a computer system and forward the order to the production or dispatch department, asking for confirmation of stock availability or delivery dates.

Check the customer's payment or credit status or obtain authorization from the sales manager before releasing the order to production or dispatch.

Customer Relationship Management:

Coordinate with customer for road permit, dispatch instruction at the time of readiness of material and make arrangement for dispatch of material as per PO terms and also communicate with client/our account for transit insurance of material.

Communicate important feedback received from customers internally.

Check specific requirement of customer based on Purchase order of customer, whether it is ex-works, drums, tanker fill, etc.

Check materials availability against specific order requirement.

Execute and manage an organization Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Internally: CMO, Supply Chain Management team, Finance & Accounts, Logistics Coordinator, Collections Coordinator, Drumming and Storage coordinator, etc. Externally: Advertising agencies, vendors, customers, competitors, Channel partners, consultants, event organizers, etc. Seeking/Giving approvals, attending telecons, information sharing/seeking for good practices, consultation/advising, coordination, problem resolution, etc. Depending on the need for interaction could be daily, weekly, monthly or as as when required


Education Qualification: Graduate Degree , MBA in Sales and Marketing

Experience:

9-15 years Sales experience ; Experience of chemical or related industry preferred


Technical Competencies/Skills:


Good proficiency in MS Office, Customer Service Orientation, Knowledge of CRM software, Experience with business intelligence tools, Good understanding of market research and data analysis methods, Documentation, MIS Skills, Report management, Business Acumen, Industry knowledge, Sales & Marketing trends and standards, etc.

Behavioural Competencies:

Proactive, motivated, and driven, Ethical team player, Strong interpersonal skills , Emotional maturity, Multitasking, self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment, Strong verbal and written communication skills, Highly organized and able to prioritize under pressure, Detail oriented, Proven ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information.
