Job Summary:

VinFast is seeking highly motivated and results-oriented Technical and Maintenance Engineers to join our growing team in India. As a vital part of our electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing operation, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our General Assembly Shop, Body Shop, and Paint Shop. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with various departments to maintain optimal production uptime.


Responsibilities:


Technical Engineer:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems with production equipment in the assigned shop (General Assembly, Body, or Paint).
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and equipment upgrades.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance procedures and equipment manuals.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance tasks.


Maintenance Engineer:

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for assigned equipment in the designated shop.
  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and calibration of equipment to ensure peak performance and reliability.
  • Perform repairs on assigned equipment, minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment history.
  • Work closely with Technical Engineers to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry or with electric vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
  • Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and develop maintenance plans.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with relevant maintenance software a plus.
