[VinFast Global Manufacturing in India] Technical Manager/ Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:
VinFast is seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Manager and Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our electric vehicle manufacturing operations, you will play a vital role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading successful new vehicle launches.
Responsibilities:
Technical Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers across Trim/Chassis, End-of-Line (EOL), and Maintenance departments.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Lead and participate in process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Oversee maintenance and calibration programs for manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage new launch activities, ensuring smooth integration of new vehicles into production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production) to ensure seamless operation and product quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies in electric vehicle manufacturing.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols within the department, fostering a safe work environment.
Lead Manufacturing Engineer:
- As the New Setup Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the technical aspects of new vehicle launches.
- Leverage your expertise in General Assembly (GA) processes to optimize production flow and efficiency.
- Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from pilot production to full-scale manufacturing.
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers involved in new launch activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during the new launch process, implementing effective solutions.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation for new vehicle assembly processes.
Requirements:
Technical Manager:
- Plant experience in Trim/Chassis, End-of-Line (EOL), and Maintenance functions.
- Proven track record of successfully managing new launch activities in the automotive industry.
Lead Manufacturing Engineer:
- Proven experience as a New Setup Lead Engineer or similar role within the automotive industry.
- In-depth experience with General Assembly (GA) processes.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in a technical role within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-paced, automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze technical data effectively.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.
- Experience with FMEA and other quality management tools (preferred).
- Experience with electric vehicle manufacturing (a strong plus).
