VinFast, is seeking a passionate and experienced Automation & Controls Leader to join our growing team in India. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our General Assembly, Body, and Paint Shop control systems.
Job Summary:
As the Automation & Controls Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in overseeing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all control systems within the General Assembly, Body, and Paint Shop. You will work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize processes, identify and implement control system improvements, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of controls technicians in the daily operation and maintenance of all control systems within the General Assembly, Body, and Paint Shop.
- Analyze and troubleshoot control system malfunctions, ensuring timely resolution to minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for control system optimization and improvement.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for control systems to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency.
- Stay current on the latest control system technologies and implement advancements to enhance production processes.
- Train and mentor control system technicians on proper procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures related to control systems operations.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation on control systems, including troubleshooting procedures and maintenance logs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or EV industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians.
- In-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotics, and industrial automation systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems, troubleshooting methodologies, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English is a must.
