Position Overview:


The Head of Support Services is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive support functions of CARE Hospitals based out of corporate office. This role involves managing diverse operational areas, including housekeeping, transportation ( Ambulance Service ), and security services, to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all staff, patients, and visitors. Reporting to Chief Patient Experience officer & Head Hospitality Operations the Head of Support Services will lead a dedicated as his / her dotted reporting, develop policies and procedures, manage budgets, and collaborate with various departments to enhance overall operational effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Leadership and Management:

- Direct and supervise all support services, including housekeeping, transportation, and security.

- Lead, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage across all support functions.


2. Operational Oversight:

- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all support services.

- Monitor and evaluate service delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

- Oversee daily operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.


3. Quality Assurance:

- Conduct regular assessments of support services to ensure high-quality standards.

- Address and resolve issues and concerns from staff and management promptly and professionally.

- Develop performance metrics and reports to track and enhance service quality.

- Manage and ensure compliance to BMW as per law for all units


4. Budget and Resource Management:

- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

- Coordinate procurement of supplies and equipment needed for support services.


5. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards across all support service areas.

- Implement and oversee safety training programs for staff to promote a safe working environment.

- Stay current with relevant regulations and industry best practices.


6. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with other departments to align support services with organizational goals.

- Participate in strategic planning and facility management meetings, providing insights and recommendations.

- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in support services or facilities management with required Hospital experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of operational best practices and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.

- Proficient in budget management and resource allocation.
