Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Business Management in India: Oversee the overall management of the Marketplace business, encompassing the entire seller lifecycle from attraction to onboarding, growth, and leveraging our Connect and Logistics services.
  • Business Development: Drive the acquisition of sellers in India to fuel the growth of the Marketplace business.
  • Seller Experience: Ensure a seamless and sustainable seller experience with Walmart, cultivating a positive brand image within the Indian seller community.
  • Strategic Framework Development: Create a strategic framework to optimize relationships with existing service providers, leveraging their strengths to deliver seamless services that enhance seller growth with Walmart.
  • Strategic Advice and Guidance: Offer strategic insights to seller acquisition and category management teams, recommending improvements based on industry knowledge, organizational insights, and best practices.
  • Relationship Building: Forge long-lasting relationships with sellers and guide category teams in supporting sellers with data, analysis, industry insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Market and Product Positioning Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of key market and product positioning for all categories, building expertise in brand dynamics, shopper requirements, and competitor benchmarking. Develop and refine category plans for success, determine category assortment and strategy, and drive continuous improvement through strategic partnerships.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Supervision: Oversee Go-to-Market functions and initiatives in India to accelerate the growth of Walmart's Marketplace business.
  • Logistics Support: Supervise the logistics team to support the logistics needs of Indian sellers, enhancing shipping efficiency and driving cost savings.
  • Walmart Connect Sales: Engage, educate, and sell the Walmart Connect suite of digital advertising products, with a focus on search, to medium and small marketplace sellers on Walmart.com. Implement a winning sales strategy and foster a sales culture of collaboration to achieve targets within the annual operating plan.
  • Data-Driven Business Planning: Craft a data-driven strategic business plan with clear execution steps for all categories, develop and communicate budgets, and maintain overall accountability for achieving category financial targets.
  • Team management and development: managing the team in India, fostering the team culture in Walmart way and advancing the professional growth of team members.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing a diverse Marketplace business.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent leadership and relationship-building abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, particularly in search.
  • A track record of achieving financial targets and driving business growth.
  • Familiarity with the Indian marketplace ecosystems.
