In this role, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable, cloud-native platforms using Python and modern frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance solutions aligned with Google’s engineering standards.Key Responsibilities• Architect, design, and implement distributed systems using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Django • Build and optimize microservices and RESTful APIs tailored for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Partner with product managers, engineering teams, and data scientists to convert business requirements into scalable technical architectures • Drive technical excellence through architecture reviews, performance tuning, and best coding practices • Lead engineering discussions, mentor development teams, and guide solution implementation • Implement cloud-native infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and Terraform-based automation • Ensure the solutions meet rigorous standards for security, reliability, and complianceRequired Skills• 8+ years of hands-on Python development experience • 3+ years in architectural or technical leadership roles • Proficiency in Python frameworks (FastAPI preferred), RESTful API design, and asynchronous programming • Strong experience with GCP services: Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Vertex AI • Expertise with DevOps and infrastructure tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins • Practical knowledge of caching layers, scalable data pipelines, and performance optimization • Strong understanding of security standards including OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise compliance practicesPreferred Qualifications• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification • Experience integrating AI/ML models using TensorFlow or PyTorch • Background in building high-availability, distributed systems • Familiarity with Google’s internal tools and engineering culture is an added advantageSoft Skills• Excellent communication, stakeholder interaction, and presentation skills • Strong analytical thinking with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and innovative environment
