Responsibilities:


  • Assist in identifying and sourcing suppliers/vendors for required materials, goods, and services.
  • Learn to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Support in issuing purchase orders and contracts based on approved requisitions and agreements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Learn to evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, delivery reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Learn to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Participate in vendor meetings, conferences, and negotiations under the guidance of senior purchasing staff.
  • Assist in implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to enhance procurement knowledge and skills.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • B Tech (Mechanical) or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Previous procurement experience or coursework is advantageous.
