JOB BRIEF:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Purchase Manager with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering to join our dynamic team in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, specializing in the chemical sector.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

  • B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the chemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical products, raw materials, and industry-specific procurement practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procurement Management:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of chemicals, raw materials, and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational needs without excess.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track orders, and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Cost Management:
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs.
  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure the quality of procured materials meets required standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
