Job Objective: To drive business growth by formulating and implementing effective marketing strategies and undertaking business development initiatives. This includes nurturing and managing key accounts, clients, customers, and alliances in coordination with marketing & function heads.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate the Annual Marketing Budget based on the Annual Operating Plan.
- Lead annual cost negotiations with respective customers in coordination with the Marketing Head and Operations team
- Negotiate prices of products to maximize profits, considering RM, BOP, and processing costs.
- Research and analyze prospective customers, projects, and bids.
- Develop customer acquisition/business development strategies for different markets/auto segments.
- Develop long-term strategies to build and grow the profitability of key customer accounts.
- Oversee RFQs for clients and review costing sent by respective business heads.
- Lead key customer discussions on repeat business and increase share of business.
- Establish mechanisms for gathering customer input and feedback to understand their requirements.
- Resolve customer queries related to RFQs within specified timelines.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing to maximize profits.
- Submit quotes to customers as per approvals from management.
- Prepare different dashboards for status review.
- Participate in annual business planning and provide inputs to the marketing head and strategy team
- Undertake periodic project review for adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct timely review meetings with teams.
- Work closely with the Program Management Team to ensure target dates are met.
- Oversee the smooth conduct of process, quality, financial audits, and technical reviews.
- Represent the organization at various meets, conferences, award shows, tech shows, and exhibitions.
- Actively participate in industry forums and ensure appropriate representation from various departments
Knowledge & Skills:
- Possessing deep expertise in raw material sourcing and a strong understanding of import content indexation
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies, including market research, segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw insights.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing.
- Proficient in using marketing automation tools and Sales Force systems.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience:
- Must Have: Proven experience in managing key accounts within the Indian automotive industry, specifically with Maruti Suzuki, HMSI (Two Wheeler), and Hero Motor Corp.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing and business development within the automotive sector
Qualification-
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- MBA from a reputable institution. (Preferred)
