Job Overview

We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Head of IT / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology initiatives at a manufacturing company in Kolkata. This is a key leadership role, responsible for steering IT operations, ensuring system reliability, and implementing practical, cost-effective solutions. If you’re someone who thrives in a hands-on role, can navigate both support and development needs, and has strong cloud experience with Azure, this might be the right opportunity for you. We are looking for a natural leader with a background in manufacturing or engineering who is capable of managing vendor partnerships and motivating teams to achieve tangible results.


Key Responsibilities

· Lead IT Operations: Guide a team of IT professionals across support, development, and operational functions, creating a collaborative environment that fosters growth and accountability.

· System & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the seamless functioning of both on-premise and cloud-based systems, with a particular focus on Azure solutions.

· Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with external IT service providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the highest service quality.

· Technology Implementation: Lead the introduction and integration of innovative technologies that streamline operations, improve productivity, and support business growth.

· Security & Compliance: Develop and maintain IT security measures, ensuring adherence to relevant industry regulations to protect company assets.

· Budget Oversight: Allocate and monitor the IT budget to ensure cost-effective investments and prioritize projects with the highest impact.

· Project Leadership: Take charge of IT projects, from upgrades to new deployments, ensuring they’re completed on schedule and within budget, with minimal impact on daily operations.

· Risk Management: Identify potential risks to IT operations and develop contingency plans, including disaster recovery and business continuity protocols.

Required Experience and Skills

· Experience: 15+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing or engineering.

· Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud systems, particularly Microsoft Azure, along with IT infrastructure, ERP, networking, and data management.
