Description:

- We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Head of Technology to spearhead our technology strategy and development efforts.

- The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driving technological innovation and managing complex projects, particularly in emerging and advanced tech domains.

- This role will involve leading the technology team, setting strategic direction, and ensuring successfull delivery of technology initiatives, all while maintaining confidentiality about our strategic directions.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:


- Lead and mentor the technology team, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.

Strategic Planning:


- Develop and execute the technology strategy in alignment with company goals.

- Identify and leverage emerging technologies to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge.

Project Oversight:


- Oversee major technology projects, including setting project milestones, managing resources, and mitigating risks to ensure successful delivery.

Innovation:


- Drive technological innovation through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies.

- Lead R&D initiatives to explore new opportunities and enhance existing products.

Technical Expertise:


- Provide high-level technical guidance and decision-making.

- Ensure that technical solutions are aligned with business requirements and meet quality standards.

Collaboration:


- Work closely with other departments such as product development, engineering, and marketing to integrate technology solutions effectively.

- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to achieve project objectives.

Budget Management:


- Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control while achieving strategic goals.

Compliance:


- Ensure that all technology initiatives adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

- Implement robust security and data protection measures.

Extensive experience in a technology leadership role with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects and driving technological innovation.

Technical Skills:

Architecture & Design:


- Expertise in system architecture, including distributed systems, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and enterprise software design.

Software Development:


- Proficiency in modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and languages (Java, Python, C#).

Data Management:


- Knowledge of data management technologies, including databases (SQL, NoSQL), big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark), and data warehousing solutions.

Cybersecurity:


- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat assessment, risk management, and implementing security best practices.

Infrastructure:


- Experience with infrastructure management, including virtualization (VMware, Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and networking.

Emerging Technologies:


- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, and their potential applications in a business context.

Education:


- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, TOGAF, CISSP) are advantageous.

Leadership:


- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and guide a technology team towards achieving strategic goals.

- Ability to develop and articulate a clear technology strategy that aligns with business objectives and effectively translate strategic plans into actionable projects.


Communication:
