Manager – International Relations and Partnerships

Manager – International Relations & Partnerships will support the Office for Internationalisation in driving the university's global initiatives. This role involves coordinating international partnerships, facilitating student and faculty mobility, and strengthening the institution's global reputation. The Manager will oversee the operational aspects of international programs, ensuring they align with the university's objectives and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Partnership Coordination
- Assist in identifying, negotiating, and formalizing strategic partnerships with global academic and research institutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to foster ongoing collaboration.
- Support the execution and evaluation of joint academic and cultural initiatives.
2. Student and Faculty Mobility Programs
- Coordinate the design and implementation of exchange programs, summer schools, and joint degree opportunities.
- Promote global mobility programs to enhance opportunities for students and faculty.
- Ensure seamless logistical support for international mobility initiatives.
3. International Events and Branding Support
- Assist in organizing international conferences, networking events, and global education fairs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance the university’s international branding efforts.
- Represent the university at select international forums and events as needed.
4. Operational and Program Management
- Manage budgets, compliance, and logistical planning for all international programs.
- Develop and implement policies for the efficient execution of international activities.
- Ensure alignment of international programs with institutional goals and regulatory frameworks.
5. Research and Development Collaboration
- Support faculty in identifying international research opportunities and collaborations.
- Facilitate the development of joint research projects and partnerships to enhance academic outcomes.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to international legal, financial, and academic regulations for all global activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with partnerships and mobility programs.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key point of contact for international stakeholders, including academic institutions and government bodies.
- Support the Executive Director in liaising with global partners and representing the university in international engagements.
Skills, Qualities, and Experience with Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in managing international partnerships and mobility programs.
- Understanding of global higher education trends, cultural sensitivities, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong program management and budgeting abilities.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Adaptability to a multicultural and dynamic environment.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in international education or partnership development.
