Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be tasked with creating, constructing, testing, and maintaining data architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems. You will collaborate closely with our team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to understand their needs and ensure our data systems are available, reliable, and scalable. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in backend development with Python, be familiar with TypeScript, and have hands-on experience with Neo4j, Apache Airflow, and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain data architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems.
  • Develop efficient data pipelines for the acquisition, storage, and transformation of large datasets.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and devise appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure data systems are available, reliable, and scalable.
  • Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration and warehousing.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and processes.
  • Implement measures for data security and privacy.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering.
  • Contribute to backend engineering projects, including the development and maintenance of microservices and APIs.
  • Use TypeScript for development and integration tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience in backend development and API integration.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Neo4j, Apache Airflow, and ETL processes.
  • Solid understanding of database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
