Backup Administrator

We are Looking for Commvault, Veeam Backup Administrator with 2–10 years of experience to manage, monitor, and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions in a large-scale, distributed environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with Commvault and be capable of working in a team environment across L1, L2, and L3 support tiersMonitor daily backup jobs and health checks.Handle basic troubleshooting for failed backups.Perform restore jobs as per request and SOPs.Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3.Troubleshoot complex backup/restore failures.Configure and manage backup policies, deduplication, and storage targets.Coordinate with application, OS, and storage/network teams.Perform catalog/database recovery and patching.Work with vendors for issue resolutionDesign and implement enterprise backup strategies.Optimize and automate backup infrastructure using scripting.Lead major incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Perform migrations, upgrades, and DR drills.Define and enforce best practices and compliance standardsStrong hands-on experience with Commvault, Veeam.Backup configuration and Restores for databases (SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, Exchange, etc.)Experience with deduplication (DDB), storage policies, media servers.Knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).Familiarity with tape libraries, D2D2T backups.Scripting/automation knowledge (PowerShell, Shell, Python – preferred)
